Privacy Notice

Last updated: August 31, 2026

Overview

Pulse OS Health ("Pulse OS," "we," "us") provides a precision health platform that ingests wearable, laboratory, and clinical signals for clients and licensed clinic partners. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you visit pulseoshealth.com, use our client portal, or interact with our services.

Pulse OS is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat disease. Information in the platform is for wellness, care coordination, and clinical decision support only. Always consult a qualified clinician for medical decisions.

Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, and role (client or clinician).

Health and telemetry data: wearable metrics (for example heart rate variability, heart rate, sleep, activity), lab results you upload, device connection status, and the baselines derived from your own readings.

Care and usage data: appointments, session notes, care-team preferences, onboarding responses, and in-app activity needed to operate the portal.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, cookies, and server logs used for security, debugging, and service reliability.

How we use information

Provide and improve the Pulse OS portal, including syncing devices, displaying dashboards, and exporting structured health observations where enabled.

Match clients with care-team members and clinicians you authorize.

Maintain security, prevent fraud, troubleshoot errors, and comply with applicable law.

Send service-related communications (for example sign-in alerts, appointment reminders, or material changes to this notice). We do not sell your personal information.

How we share information

With your care team: practitioners you connect with in the portal can view profile and health data you authorize.

With service providers: cloud hosting (AWS), authentication (Amazon Cognito), analytics, and support vendors that process data under contract and only as needed to run Pulse OS.

With your clinic or care team: only the practitioners you are enrolled with, and only the categories their role permits. We do not sell personal information, and we do not license your data to research partners.

For legal reasons: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the platform.

Apple Health and the Pulse OS Health Sync app

Pulse OS Health Sync is a companion iOS app that reads measurements from Apple Health on your iPhone and sends them to your Pulse OS record. It is only useful alongside a Pulse OS account and does nothing on its own.

What it reads: heart rate variability, resting and live heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, blood pressure, steps, active and resting energy, exercise minutes, distance, body weight, body temperature, VO₂ max, sleep stages and duration, and workout sessions. It reads only the categories you permit when iOS asks, and you can change those at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.

The app never writes to Apple Health. It requests read access only, so nothing it does changes the data on your phone.

Alongside each batch the app sends the name your iPhone is set to, which it uses to tell one device from another when a member syncs from more than one. If your device name contains your own name, that name reaches us with the readings.

Health data collected through the app is used to build your own baselines and to show change over time to the care team you are enrolled with. It is never used for advertising, never sold, never shared with data brokers, and never used to train third-party models.

Turning it off: background sync can be switched off from the app's main screen at any time, and signing out stops collection immediately. Removing the app stops all collection. Data already sent is retained under the retention terms below until you request deletion.

Data retention and security

We retain account and health data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and cloud infrastructure aligned with HIPAA and PIPEDA practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work continuously to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You may update profile information in the portal, disconnect wearables, and manage care-team sharing in onboarding and settings.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. Contact us to submit a request.

You may sign out at any time and request account deletion by emailing privacy@pulseoshealth.com.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management. Optional analytics may help us understand how the marketing site and portal are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

International users

Pulse OS is operated from Canada. If you access the service from other regions, your information may be processed in Canada or the United States where our cloud providers host data. We apply appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Children

Pulse OS is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data through the service.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice.
